​Zhao Leji Meets with Chairman of the People’s Consultative Assembly of Indonesia Ahmad Muzani

On September 20, 2026, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC) Zhao Leji met with Chairman of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) of Indonesia Ahmad Muzani in Beijing.

Zhao Leji stated that in recent years, China-Indonesia relations have maintained good momentum. President Xi Jinping and President Prabowo Subianto have reached important consensus on building a China-Indonesia community with a shared future that carries regional and global influence, opening a new chapter in bilateral relations. China is willing to work with Indonesia to follow the strategic guidance of the two heads of state and continuously achieve new results in the friendly cause between the two countries. The NPC of China is willing to maintain close contacts with the MPR of Indonesia, expand exchanges and cooperation, deepen exchanges of experience in state governance, and better serve the development and revitalization of their respective countries.

Ahmad Muzani stated that Indonesia and China share a profound friendship, and he hopes to enhance friendly coordination between relevant institutions and peoples of the two countries through his visit to China, so as to bring the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries to a new level. The MPR of Indonesia is willing to strengthen exchanges with the NPC of China and help deepen cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
